Doon Presidency School is a progressive co-educational English Medium school. It is a Day school with classes from Play Group to Class XII and is affiliated to the Council for the Indian Schools Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.

Doon Presidency School was established in 1981 and is run by Rama Shikshan Sansthan, a society registered under the Indian Society Registration act XXI of 1860.It is a nonprofit organization comprising eminent educationists.

True to its motto, the school has grown into a full fledged institution, enlightening young souls for their overall growth and challenges of life. The President of the school, Prof. L.P. Goyal is an eminent scholar and visionary and has been an academician since 1949. He was the former Dean, Technical Education and Applied Sciences, Nigeria. He also rendered his services as a lecturer in Mathematics in DAV (PG) College,Dehradun. Under his benign and expert guidance, the schoolhas made a niche for itself in the world of School education.

Late Smt. Rama Goyal, co. founder, worked in MKP College, Dehradun, as Home Science Teacher for 15 years. She then served as the Senior Education Officer, in Nigeria and retired after twenty five years of illustrious service. Mrs. Rama Goyal and Mr. L.P. Goyal, the magic couple, ardently dedicated to the educational arena. Now the school is progressing in leaps and bounds under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. Savita Goyal, the school Treasurer. She has worked as scientist at National Physical Lab, Pusa Gate, New Delhi and Sr. Research Officer in Indian Petroleum Chemical Corp. Ltd., Vadodara.
